Furniture deserves a long life!

Even furniture that is subjected to harsh wear and tear and a fast-paced day-to-day. Therefore, Input interior offers services such as reconditioning and refurbishing to prolong the life cycle and preserve the value of your furniture.

Updating existing school furnishings need not be costly, time-consuming or complicated. Quite the reverse in fact – simple yet effective changes enable you to make a big difference and also extend the life of your furniture. We can help you to take an inventory of the environment you want to update and together we will review needs, requirements and what can be achieved by means of reconditioning.

What might reconditioning involve?

It is a broad concept and can encompass a number of different measures, all with the common aim of maintaining your furniture to extend its life cycle. The added bonus is that it updates the look of the furniture, so it feels almost like new, helping to present a positive overall impression.

No update is too advanced; we can find solutions for most requests. In most cases, reconditioning involves the following options.

Keep it simple – washing and new fabric for a refresh

Choosing the right furniture from the outset provides the best foundation for a sustainable and long-term interior design solution. Having said that, all well-used furniture loses some of its charm over time – and a little TLC is in order!

Sometimes, all that is needed is a refresh to get rid of stubborn stains. At Input interior, we offer washing and cleaning of upholstered products. An impregnating agent can subsequently be applied, which extends the useful life of the furniture and reduces the need for cleaning.

Is the fabric torn or the padding on its last legs? If so, we can update with new fabric and/or padding.

Give your furniture a facelift – refinish and refurbish

Scratched chair legs, worn-out castors on your office chair or a tired table top? Together we can find a solution. When refinishing or refurbishing, you can also opt for a change of colour or finish – why not try out a new look?

Furniture can sometimes be given a new lease of life by replacing worn parts. An entire chair or sofa can be saved with just a small change – both simple and economical!

Let your interior evolve with you – adapt and develop

Furniture is most often replaced because it is perceived as old or lacking a desired function. In this scenario, it can be worth considering if the grass is actually greener on the other side – does the furniture need replacing or would updating it work equally well?

Feel free to consult us regarding your needs, so that we can come up with a solution together. A lot of furniture can easily be adapted to integrate electrical and technical solutions, optimise acoustics and much more. We can also make use of existing furnishings to create new products and functions – for example, old blinds can be turned into new table tops.
